Mrs. Hanson's 6th Grade Advanced Math Class

Welcome To Mrs. Hanson's Math World.....

I hope you have a successful 2008-2009 academic year! Work hard, always strive for excellence and you will achieve your goals.

TEXTBOOK ---> PRENTICE HALL MATHEMATICS - COURSE 2 (PERIODS 1,3,5,6)

TEXTBOOK ----> MATHEMATICS: APPLICATIONS & CONCEPTS - COURSE 1 (PERIODS 2,4)

**** ALL STUDENTS MUST WRITE IN THEIR AGENDA BOOKS DAILY. ****

Assignments must be completed on a daily basis to reinforce new skills learned in class. Daily assignments are worth 10pts/day and must be completed in your composition books.
All work must be done in pencil.

Daily assignments are written on a class calendar which is located on the make-up work table.. Students who are absent are allowed 2 days to make up all missed work.
Remember also, that success is achieved when students are prepared for class. As such, each student is required to have an ample supply of all materials necessary for class which includes:
* a composition book
* a pocket folder
* looseleaf paper
* pencils
* hand-held covered sharpener
* red pen
* ruler

In addition, graph paper and a protractor are required
but are not necessary until instructed to bring them to class.
~~ For periods 1,3,5,6 --A weekly review is assigned each Friday and is collected on Monday. This must be done on looseleaf paper
and is worth 100 points.

~~ For periods 2,4 -- A weekly homework sheet is assigned each Friday and is due on Monday. This assignment is worth 100 points.

~~ Students are notified of all upcoming quizzes and tests at least a week in advanced. Students must allow themselves
enough time to review adequately for these.

HAVE A GREAT YEAR!
