We follow most of the general soccer rules but do not have any off-sides.  We play on a smaller
field with 7 to 10 on a side.  We emphasize proper corner kicks, goal
kicks, throw-ins and goalie play.  We do not assign positions but do try to spread players out as much as
possible.

Coach Shore’s Thoughts:

Soccer is truly the International Sport.  More youngsters participate in youth soccer than any other
sport.  Women’s soccer in the United States has caught up with the
rest of the World.  Men’s soccer isn’t far behind.  All three of
my children participated in youth soccer, my daughter played soccer through high school and my two sons played soccer in
college.  My younger son Daryl played professional soccer for 5 years, was an assistant coach with the Chicago Fire in the MLS for ten years and is now the head coach of Miami FC our professional soccer team in South Florida.  No
youngster should grow up without being introduced to soccer.
