Family Life & Human Sexuality including HIV/AIDS Regular science classes will use the Holt Science & Technology Florida edition textbook. Advanced classes will use the McDougal Littell Science Florida Edition textbook. Multimedia material and websites will be used in addition to the textbooks. We will follow the Florida Sunshine State Standards and prepare for the 8th Grade Science FCAT exams that will be administered in February and March, 2009. Science Class Expectations:Good reading, note-taking and laboratory skills are the foundations for a proper science education. Students are required to complete reading assignments, take notes, complete classwork and homework, participate in class discussions, pass exams, and perform laboratory experiments and lab write-ups.Read the Code of Student Conduct, attend class, practice all safety rules and come to class prepared each day. All assignments will be posted in advance on the www.schoolnotes.com website. Bookmark it! Assignments will also be posted in the classroom. Students are responsible for writing the assignments into their agenda. If an assignment is missed or unclear, please check with your classmates first, then check schoolnotes.com, and then see me if you are still having difficulty.
