WELCOME TO 8TH GRADE READING!!!
Homework: Remember to read for 20 minutes every night and write a reflection on your reading log sheet. Don't forget to have your parents sign the reading log before turning it in.
Pick one of the following topics to reflect on nightly:Connect the text to yourself, connect the text to yourself, connect the text to another text,describe the setting, write the main idea, what is the plot, what is the mood, write two unfamiliar words in their context sentences, ***Free Response-Fridays only*** Reflection topics will be transferred to the back information bulletin board for those students who are absent.
Other Important Information: DEAR books should be brought to class on a daily basis. Pop DEAR checks will be conducted throughout the semester,
Notebook checks will also be conducted throughout the semester. Make sure you have yours at all times:)
